Listening to Cliff Maynard describe his Chronic Art with statements like, “It’s kinda simple, really” could drive a person crazy with jealousy. The sheer complexity of the work would boggle lesser lights, but Cliff has a love of the art, and of course, the Chronic. In Chronic Art we see the inspiration of someone who was forced to use his imagination at an early age.

Vinyl Frontier will be at San Diego Comic Con (July 23-26) this year wreaking havoc, handing out awesome buttons and postcards all weekend. Saturday night is not to be missed. They will be at 5&A Dime, a lovely store in downtown San Diego to preview some of the film to our loyal vinyl toy fans. After the screening, the director will be doing a Q&A with artists from the film such as: Jermaine Rogers, Attaboy, El Maz, Tara Mcpherson, Bwana Spoons, Sucklord, and more to be announced.

Nike SB: Debacle

Debacle, the new video project by Nike SB, and the first skate video to be filmed entirely in HD, is now available to watch or download for free and on Blu-ray disc.

Directed by Jon Humphries and Jason Hernandez, Debacle was filmed by Hernandez, Joey Ruiz, and Chris Middlebrook, who followed the youngest members of the SB team (Daryl Angel, David Clark, Shane O’Neill, Theotis Beasley, Justin Brock, and Grant Taylor) to 10 countries over the past 10 months. The video is set to a soundtrack that matches the intensity and vigor of the young crew’s skating (featuring Bad Brains, Skid Row, and The Replacements).

To deliver the project online, Nike SB has teamed up with Adobe’s Experience Design (XD) team and Hega TV.

The free stream and download of Debacle will be available until July 24th. The Blu-ray disc is now available at SB retailers worldwide.

We are loving the trailer on this one, amazing work.

The discussions will begin with inspiration, progress into creating and managing content, discuss usability theory, teach how to put on the finishing details and introduce attendees to designing web apps. iPhone Toolbar Icons

iPhone toolbar icons are 24-bit PNGs with an alpha channel and dimensions of about 30 × 30 pixels. The icon’s mask (the parts of the image which aren’t fully transparent) is styled to create the normal and active button states. This works the same way for both Toolbar (blue bar, as in Safari) and Tab Bar (black bar, as in the iPod app). Your icons don’t need to contain color or have the gradient style applied to them manually – just make them monochromatic and let iPhone take care of the rest.
