Hiroshi Fujiwara's lightning bolt has landed on Nike, Louis Vuitton and Maserati. Now it is on an electric motorcycle. The [BRABUS Urban E Fragment Edition](https://www.brabus.com/en-int/brand/news/brabus-urban-e-fragment-edition.html?ref=unknowndivide.com) puts his Fragment Design touch on an electric bike built by French maker DAB Motors and badged by BRABUS, the German tuner better known for turning Mercedes into monsters. BRABUS announced it on October 2, it made its public debut at ComplexCon in Los Angeles, and only 10 will exist worldwide.

That number is the whole story. Ten bikes, three names, one very short line of people who will actually get one.

## How it happened

According to [DAB Motors](https://www.dabmotors.com/dab-fragment?ref=unknowndivide.com), it started at Milan Design Week, when Fujiwara came across the BRABUS x DAB bike and connected with the design right away. That encounter turned into a question: what would a Fragment motorcycle look like? DAB founder and chief design officer Simon Dabadie says the team translated Fragment's minimal language onto the BRABUS Urban E "through a sharp black-and-white treatment."

That restraint is classic Fujiwara. DAB calls this the first time his vision has met BRABUS and DAB, and his best work usually changes very little and somehow changes everything.

## What Fragment changed

The base bike is the BRABUS Urban E. The Fragment Edition strips it to black and white. BRABUS lists white carbon-fiber wheel covers, white brake calipers and a bespoke white BRABUS Masterpiece leather seat. DAB adds painted carbon components and a crystal-clear rear light that carries the Fragment signature, so the logo shows up in the taillight instead of as a sticker on the tank. Gloss finishes are there to pull different layers of the machine out as the light moves across it.

DAB's own line for it: "Minimal in appearance. Obsessive in execution." Hard to argue from the photos.

## The specs underneath

This is a real bike, not a display piece. Per the [BRABUS spec page](https://www.brabus.com/en-int/bikes/e-motorbikes/brabus-urban-e-fragment-edition.html?ref=unknowndivide.com) and DAB's sheet:

- Output: 27 kW, or 37 hp, with up to 475 Nm of torque at the wheel
- Battery: 72 volts, 7.1 kWh maximum capacity
- Range: up to 150 km (93 miles) in the city, 120 km combined on the WMTC cycle
- Top speed: 120 km/h (75 mph)
- Ride modes: Eco, Street, Sport, Nitrous and Reverse
- Charging: roughly 3 hours from 20 to 100 percent, 3.5 to 4 hours from empty
- Weight: 145 kg, with a 46 mm upside-down fork and dual ABS

DAB says the bike was designed, engineered and built entirely at its studio in the south of France.

## Price and how to get one

DAB lists the Fragment Edition at $50,000 before VAT. Reservations are open now with a deposit, and DAB's team confirms allocation. If you miss out, the deposit is fully refundable. With 10 units on the planet, expect most of those deposits to come back.

Is $50,000 a lot for a 37 hp electric bike? Obviously. But nobody is buying this for the spec sheet. This is a Fragment object first and a motorcycle second, and DAB says as much: "A motorcycle to enjoy. An artifact to collect." The ComplexCon debut makes the pitch clear. It was launched to the streetwear crowd, not the track day crowd.

Car brands and streetwear have been circling each other for years, as our look at [Kith for BMW](https://www.unknowndivide.com/kith-for-bmw-2026/) showed. If numbered runs are your thing, the [Unimatic UC2](https://www.unknowndivide.com/unimatic-uc2-the-watch-that-ships-with-its-own-edition-number/) ships with its own edition number, and the [Nathan Kostechko x UAG collector's box](https://www.unknowndivide.com/nathan-kostechko-x-uag-a-memento-mori-collectors-box/) is another collab built to be kept.

Ten bikes. Three logos. One taillight with a lightning bolt in it. That is the most Fragment thing ever made with wheels.
