Alongside the title track, the release includes an industrial glitch remix by Jess Hewitt of Drev and a remix by Todd Fisher of Her Odd Fist. The notes also describe Facewithin as part of Stembridge's then-upcoming album Past Present Future.

## From the release notes

The notes on the single's Bandcamp page set the scene: "The initial beats transport listeners to a complex realm that resides within the DNA of humans and androids alike. This is the starting point for an auditory and visual odyssey, compelling those who engage with it to question the very foundations of identity and existence. Known for his award-winning work with the ambient project Drifting In Silence, Derrick Stembridge expands his artistic horizon with this latest offering."
