## From the release notes

The notes on the EP's Bandcamp page set the scene: "Through delicately shifting textures and the hum of slow-swirling synthesizers, the Desolate recognizes hopelessness and pushes past it with aspirations for a brighter future. The yearning drones of Desolate paint an undeniably bleak portrait, but ultimately concern themselves with moving onward in the face of loss. The heart of Desolate is its ability and willingness to contemplate the ambiguities of desolation."
