## Inside the release

According to the notes, the Ikiäiti single folds the three main movements of the album of the same name into one continuous piece. Two instrumental versions run underneath while a single vocal layer moves in and out as texture. The notes say it was released alongside the full album and works both as an introduction to it and as a standalone piece.

Hanna-Mari Ojala wrote and produced the song and also made the cover art and design, according to the credits. The notes describe the voice as a trace of presence and the electronics as open and porous.

## From the release notes

The notes on the single's Bandcamp page set the scene: "Ikiäiti is a condensation of the album's core gesture. This single brings together the three primary movements of the record into a single continuous form. Layers of breath, stone, and duration are stacked and allowed to interact. Two instrumental versions hold the ground while a single vocal layer passes through, emerging and receding as texture rather than statement."

Later, the notes add: "Elements that move separately on the album are folded into one another here. Sound gathers. Dissolves. Continues. Voice appears as a trace of presence. Electronics remain open and porous. Time stretches without direction. Released alongside the full album, Ikiäiti functions both as an entry point and as a standalone piece."
