## Inside the release

The notes say Ikiäiti is named for the Eternal Mother and moves through origin, formation, erosion and return. It opens with Henkäys. Kanuunakalliot is inspired by a coastal rock formation in the artist's hometown, Ikuisuus loosens the sense of time, and the closing piece, Elämänvirta, adds field recordings of everyday life. Each of the three core pieces appears in two versions, with and without improvised vocals.

The notes explain that the titles stay in Finnish because the work is rooted in the land and language that shaped it, even as its themes reach toward something universal. Hanna-Mari Ojala wrote and produced the songs and also made the cover art and design.

## From the release notes

The notes on the album's Bandcamp page set the scene: "Ikiäiti is a slow unfolding of breath, matter, and time. Named for the Eternal Mother, the album moves through origin, formation, erosion, and return. Sound emerges as presence, gathers weight, and gradually releases its form. The cycle is elemental and intuitive, shaped by listening rather than narrative. The journey begins with Henkäys, where breath becomes vibration and spirit."

Later, the notes add: "Ikuisuus opens into duration, loosening structure and sense of measure. The closing piece, Elämänvirta, brings the cycle into motion, carrying body, time, and lived experience within a continuous flow. Each of the three core compositions appears in two parallel versions, with and without voice."
