[S-GAME](https://pbz.s-game.com/en-US/?ref=unknowndivide.com) has set the game to unlock in North America on October 28 at 7 PM Pacific, which is 10 PM Eastern, and preloading opens tonight, October 26, at 7 PM Pacific. The kungfu action role-playing game (RPG) lands digitally on PlayStation 5 (PS5) and on Windows PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, and it has been trending on Google in the US since Sunday evening. Video: Phantom Blade Zero (S-GAME) ## What it is You play as Soul, a fighter framed for the murder of his master and left with a ruined heart and sixty-six days to live. Hunted by his former comrades, he crosses the Wulin, the martial world of wuxia stories, to untangle the conspiracy that condemned him. S-GAME pitches it as a blend of traditional wuxia, fantasy and folk horror, and the screenshots back that up: burning shrines, masked giants, rain-soaked towns and things that should not be walking around. The studio calls the style kungfupunk. Think golden age Hong Kong martial arts cinema crossed with mechanical prosthetics, industrial ruins, traditional Chinese design and modern rock music. It runs on Unreal Engine 5, and S-GAME says martial arts choreographers from that golden era worked with motion capture so every stance is rooted in real technique. Donnie Yen has been a creative consultant on the game since 2023 and plays Mó Yuan, leader of the Bastion of Mó, through facial and motion capture. ## How it plays Combat is the headline. S-GAME lists more than 30 primary weapons and over 20 Phantom Edges, special techniques you take from bosses after you beat them, and you mix them to build your own style. The flow is dodge, deflect, counter and strike, with combos the studio says are easy to pick up and hard to master. Between fights you explore the Phantom World, a map of hidden passages, mechanisms and side stories that keep pulling you off the main road. ## Which edition to buy There are two digital versions. The Standard Edition is the full game. The Digital Deluxe Edition adds two exclusive outfits, Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form, plus a digital artbook and the digital soundtrack, which is the pick if the rock-meets-kungfu score in the trailer grabbed you. Pre-orders on either edition unlock the Treasure Basin accessory and the Legacy outfit early, and S-GAME notes both can also be earned in the game. If you collect discs, wait. S-GAME's launch trailer notes that the PS5 physical edition arrives in 2027. ## Can your PC run it S-GAME's [official system requirements](https://pbz.s-game.com/en-US/news/system-requirements/?ref=unknowndivide.com) ask for a solid-state drive (SSD) and 16 gigabytes (GB) of memory at every tier. The minimum spec is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT graphics card for 1080p at 30 frames per second with upscaling. Recommended is a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or Radeon RX 6700 XT for 1440p at 60 frames per second. S-GAME has been building toward this since its hand-drawn Rainblood, the game that first sent Soul into a town full of conspiracy, and the launch trailer has passed eleven million views on YouTube in under a week.
