Queens of the Stone Age are two days from a new album. [*Perfecth*](https://matadorrecords.com/products/ole2253-perfecth?ref=unknowndivide.com), the band's ninth record, lands October 30, 2026 on [Matador Records](https://matadorrecords.com/?ref=unknowndivide.com) in standard black vinyl, CD, and a limited deluxe LP. The official hub at [qotsa.lnk.to/perfecth](https://qotsa.lnk.to/perfecth?ref=unknowndivide.com) and the rebuilt [qotsa.com](https://qotsa.com/?ref=unknowndivide.com) are already pointing at the drop.

## What Perfecth is about

Matador frames the nine songs as a map of love in all its forms: family, friends, the loves that break you, and the ones that bring you back. The music is described as fearless and boundless, moody and menacing, gentle and strange. That is a wide brief for a band that has always moved between muscle and mood, and the label copy leans into both without turning the record into a concept album press sheet.

"Insignificant Other" is the centerpiece, sprawling, loose, and flagged as supernatural. The lyric video on the band's official channel already runs past five minutes, which fits a song built to stretch rather than fade early. "Mono" turns heartbreak into a mix that slips from mono to stereo, from claustrophobia to widescreen orchestral scale. Together they sketch a record that wants dynamics, not just riffs stacked end to end.

The Matador product page calls the album a moment of hard-won clarity for the band. That read matches the tone of the singles so far: heavy when it needs to be, patient when the arrangement opens up, and still unmistakably Queens of the Stone Age in the vocal and guitar grain.

## Formats and the deluxe LP

The standard run covers black vinyl and CD for anyone who wants a clean first press. The limited deluxe LP goes further: a gatefold with handwritten lyrics, stationery, stamps housed in a custom envelope, and a bespoke piece of art tucked into its own pocket. Matador's shop lists those three formats as available to preorder now, with the deluxe edition clearly marked as limited.

If you collect physical editions, the deluxe pack is the one that reads like an object, not just a jacket. If you mainly stream, the Linkfire hub is the shortest path to the digital storefronts on release day. Either way, the October 30 date is locked on the label page, so there is no need to wait on a vague "fall" window.

## Our call

This one is Surfacing. A major band on a label that still treats physical editions like objects, with a single that already stretches past radio length and a ninth album timed for the end of October. If the rest of the nine tracks hold that line, October 30 is a big night for rock heads who still buy vinyl the week a record lands.
