## Inside the release

Sink to the Sea is an ambient, experimental post-rock trio from Southern California, according to the notes: Marc Bobro, James Van Arsdale and Noah Whatoff. The notes describe A Gift Carried by the Left Hand as a mix of written compositions and long improvisations, with themes of dreams, enlightenment and discovery. It opens with Prologue, followed by Sinead and Blue is the Ocean Sometimes.

Later tracks include Interlude, Loneliest Loneliness and The Midnight of You, and the album closes with Epilogue. The notes list the trio's influences as the natural world and visual art such as collage and kinetic abstract sculpture, with musical threads from horror film soundtracks, Frippertronics, free jazz, electronica and psychedelia.
