Paris trunk maker Moynat has opened Hotel Moynat, a limited-edition travel collection created with Los Angeles stylist Storm Pablo and American jewelry designer Marvin Douglas. The first chapter turns the hotel stickers that once covered Moynat trunks into leather labels, each one stitched by hand onto the House's Monogram M canvas.

Stickers, trunks and Monogram M

On Moynat's historic trunks, hotel labels piled up as travelers moved from city to city. For Hotel Moynat those archival details are remade in leather and applied across Hobos, totes, a 48-hour duffle, a Pochette Nomade, passport holders, charms, silk scarves, a travel Mignon and exclusive Limousine trunks. Colors and graphic designs from the vintage labels become a second pattern language over the Monogram M, close enough to read as luggage history and modern enough to sit next to current canvas bags.

The campaign, shot by Petra Collins with Abby Champion, treats the in-between spaces of travel as the set. Moynat's journal page walks through those stills and the sticker story in more detail. LVMH's own write-up frames the project as a pop-culture reread of Moynat's trunk-making heritage, naming Storm Pablo, known for his work with Bad Bunny, and Marvin Douglas as the outside collaborators who pulled the idea into the present.

A second chapter in November

A follow-up chapter is due in November, with crystal studs inspired by the metal fittings that once protected vintage trunks. Those studs will be applied again to the Monogram M canvas and offered at select boutiques. The two-chapter plan keeps Hotel Moynat from reading as a single flash drop: first the leather labels, then a hardware-minded sequel for shoppers who missed the opening wave or want a different finish.

The collection is live on Moynat's United States site and in boutiques. The official collection grid is the cleanest place to browse individual bags and small leather goods without digging through campaign copy. Current asking prices sit on that page; we are not reprinting them here.

Moynat remains one of the quieter leather houses inside the LVMH group, which makes a collection this story-driven feel like a useful signal. Hotel Moynat is not a sneaker collab cycle; it is a trunk house arguing that travel ephemera still belongs on bags people carry through airports now. That argument is easier to follow when the leather labels are literally stitched where paper stickers used to live.

Our call

This one is Surfacing. Hotel stickers are a natural language for a trunk house, and stitching them back onto canvas is a clearer design idea than another logo remix. Worth watching for the November crystal chapter if the first drop sells through, and worth a look now if travel goods are already on your shortlist.
