ROSÉ Will Perform at LACMA's 2026 Art+Film Gala Honoring Vija Celmins and Denis Villeneuve

LACMA just named ROSÉ the musical guest for its 15th Art+Film Gala on November 7, 2026, a night honoring painter Vija Celmins and Dune director Denis Villeneuve, co-chaired by Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio.

One of the biggest pop stars on the planet is headed to a museum. LACMA announced that ROSÉ is the musical guest of its 2026 Art+Film Gala, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's annual night where the art world and Hollywood share a room. This year's honorees are painter Vija Celmins and filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, and the evening takes place Saturday, November 7, 2026. If you needed proof that museums are now a stage for pop culture, this is it.

Who is being honored

When LACMA first announced the 2026 honorees in July, it called Vija Celmins one of the most influential visual artists working today. Celmins is known for painstaking, quiet images of ocean surfaces, night skies, desert floors and spider webs, work that rewards slow looking in a fast world. Denis Villeneuve, whom the museum calls a widely celebrated master of contemporary cinema, is the director behind Arrival, Blade Runner 2049 and the Dune films. Putting a painter of tiny, precise surfaces next to a filmmaker of enormous desert worlds is a pairing that makes more sense the longer you think about it.

LACMA trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio, described by the museum as longtime champions of its film initiatives, return as co-chairs. Gucci is the presenting sponsor, a role it has held since the gala began in 2011, and Audi is providing transportation and additional support.

Why ROSÉ

"As a global pop superstar, ROSÉ will amplify the spirit of the evening with her incomparable talent and style," Chow said in the announcement. The museum's release points to her run as a soloist and as a member of BLACKPINK: more than 10 billion solo streams with her first studio album rosie, and her three time Grammy nominated single "APT." with Bruno Mars, which LACMA says was the best selling global single of 2025. Her latest single, "new trick," also anchors a recent "Shot on iPhone" campaign.

She follows a strong lineup. At the 2025 gala, nearly 600 guests celebrated artist Mary Corse and filmmaker Ryan Coogler, with a performance by Doja Cat, and the night set a new fundraising record for the museum.

Where the money goes

Gala proceeds support LACMA's push to make film more central to its curatorial program, along with exhibitions, acquisitions, education and screenings at the intersection of art and film. Tickets and tables are handled privately through the museum, and details are on the Art+Film Gala page. For the rest of us, the move is to catch up on the music, the movies and the art before November. You can shop ROSÉ's rosie on vinyl or find a Vija Celmins book.
