Nash released Dreamcore on June 21, 2024 through Labile Records. It is a single that runs 4:50. The credits read: All songs written and produced by Nash.

Inside the release

Dreamcore is a single from NASH, a solo metalcore project based in Aix-les-Bains, France, according to the notes. The project mixes metal with electronic elements drawn from dark electro and aggrotech. The music is composed entirely with virtual instruments, paired with live vocals, and the notes describe the song as a trip into a neon-lit cyberpunk dystopia.

The notes tell the song's story: in a city of steel and smog, a character escapes each night through a neural interface into a digital refuge of color and holograms. The pain of coming back at dawn leaves him unsure which of the two worlds he belongs to. The notes name Bad Omens, Erra, Make Them Suffer and I See Stars among the bands that inspired the project.

From the release notes

The notes on the single's Bandcamp page set the scene: "Based in the cyberpunk setting of Aix-Les-Bains, France, NASH masterfully melds the intensity of metal with futuristic electronic elements, pioneering a sound that breaks all conventional genre barriers. Since its formation two years ago, NASH has revolutionized metalcore by integrating synthetic textures from the underground scenes of dark electro and aggrotech."

Later, the notes add: "Inspired by powerhouses such as Bad Omens, BMTH, Erra, Make Them Suffer, and I See Stars, NASH transports listeners into a dark, entrancing cyber world. Fueled by a passion for the cyberpunk universe, the project offers a unique auditory experience where reality and virtuality converge, redefining the power of music and technology."
