One VO released Ambient Joy on March 28, 2025 through Labile Records. It is a 7-track album with a total running time of about 21 minutes.
Inside the release
One VO is the Dutch electronic artist Lex Visee, according to the notes. Ambient Joy follows his 2022 debut, There Was an Era, and builds on it with synth-driven pieces that mix synthwave, ambient electronica and layered harmonies. The notes describe an album built around warmth, reflection and the expressive range of synthesizers.
The notes say each track unfolds like a journey through light and space, and that the album aims to balance melodic subtlety with emotional depth.
From the release notes
The notes on the album's Bandcamp page set the scene: "Dutch electronic artist Lex Visee, known as One VO, returns with his latest album, Ambient Joy, an exploration of lush, synth-driven soundscapes designed to evoke a sense of serenity and wonder. Building on the atmospheric textures and cinematic melodies introduced in his 2022 debut, There Was an Era, One VO refines his craft, blending elements of synthwave, ambient electronica, and evolving harmonic layers to create an immersive sonic experience."
Later, the notes add: "Each track unfolds like a journey through light and space, offering a meditative escape into One VO's evolving sound world. With this release, he continues to push the boundaries of ambient music, balancing melodic subtlety with deep, emotive resonance."
