Supreme x mophie Qi2 Powerstation

Supreme's accessory game works best when the object underneath is already good, and this one is. The Supreme/mophie Qi2 Powerstation, $78 in black, is a 5,000mAh battery pack built by mophie exclusively for Supreme, with the box logo printed across a matte-black slab that snaps onto the back of your phone.

The spec that matters is Qi2. It's the wireless charging standard built on magnetic alignment, the same ring system as MagSafe, which means the pack clicks onto an iPhone in the correct position every time and charges at the standard's full wireless rate instead of the misaligned dribble older Qi pads were famous for. It works with MagSafe iPhones out of the box and with Qi2-equipped Android phones, no cable, no fumbling. The 5,000mAh cell is the right size for this format: roughly one full iPhone charge, thin enough to keep the phone pocketable while attached.

The honest math: mophie sells similar Qi2 packs without the logo for less, and the logo is most of the delta. But as Supreme collabs go, this is the sensible kind, a daily-carry object from the brand that has made phone batteries for two decades, in the one colorway that will still look right in five years. Nobody needs to explain it at a coffee shop, and it will outlive most of the drop it shipped with.

$78, black only, at Supreme while it lasts, which with this brand is the operative phrase.
