Bandcamp Friday is back on Friday, November 6, 2026, and it is the one day this month when your record money hits hardest. For the full 24 hours, Bandcamp waives its revenue share on sales, so more of what you spend lands with the artists and labels you actually want to back. Here is when it starts where you live, how to get ready, and six records worth having in your cart before the clock hits midnight Pacific.
Bandcamp Friday November 2026: the times
Bandcamp runs every Bandcamp Friday from midnight to midnight Pacific Time. For November 6, that means:
- Pacific: 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Friday, November 6
- Mountain: 1:00 a.m. Friday to 12:59 a.m. Saturday
- Central: 2:00 a.m. Friday to 1:59 a.m. Saturday
- Eastern: 3:00 a.m. Friday to 2:59 a.m. Saturday, November 7
Timing matters. Bandcamp says plainly that purchases made outside the window cannot be counted after the fact, so an order placed late Thursday night does not qualify. If you want a live countdown, Bandcamp keeps one at Is It Bandcamp Friday. After November 6, there is one more round this year, on Friday, December 4.
What Bandcamp Friday actually is
Bandcamp started these fundraisers to help artists hit by COVID-19 and the loss of touring income, and it has kept them going as a way for fans and artists to sustain each other. On the day, Bandcamp skips its own revenue share on each sale. Payment processor fees still apply, so it is not a free ride for artists, but it is the best day of the month to buy direct from the people who made the music.
How to get ready this week
- Build your wishlist now. Click the heart on any release you are eyeing so checkout on Friday takes minutes, not an hour of digging.
- Follow your favorite artists and labels. Following them on Bandcamp puts their new releases and merch in your feed, so you see what is fresh before the day arrives.
- Expect traffic. Bandcamp warns that pages and downloads can slow down on fundraiser days. If a download stalls, wait a bit and try again, or stream your purchase in the Bandcamp app for iOS or Android.
- Preorders count too. A preorder placed during the window is a sale on the day, which makes Bandcamp Friday a smart time to lock in records due out later this year.
Six records to buy on Bandcamp Friday
These are releases we have been living with, every one checked on its official Bandcamp page and buyable right now.
1. The Comet Is Coming, Exploding In Slow Motion
Ten years after their debut, the London trio of Shabaka, Danalogue and Betamax gather the complete Channel The Spirits recordings from 2013 to 2017, including the Prophecy and Death To The Planet EPs, out November 20. The triple LP set adds The Ancient Tapes and four previously unreleased tracks on vinyl for the first time. The polychromatic Ring Nebula edition is limited to 500 copies, there is a translucent colored edition of 1,500, and the digital preorder already gives you 25 tracks to play now. Preorder on Bandcamp.
2. Grouper, Music For Two Films About Water
Liz Harris collects two long-form film scores, Untitled (from We Exhale) and Untitled (from Constellation), on LP, CD and digital, out November 27 through Kranky. One track is streaming now with the preorder. We broke down the release in our Music For Two Films About Water story. Preorder on Bandcamp.
3. Helen, Linda's Head
The first new album in over a decade from the Pacific Northwest trio of Liz Harris, Scott Simmons and Jed Bindeman, out now on LP, CD and digital. Ten songs, hazy and close, and the perfect companion to the Grouper preorder above. More in our Linda's Head feature. Buy on Bandcamp.
4. Markus Guentner, In Moll (25th Anniversary Edition)
Here is one that lands on Bandcamp Friday itself. Markus Guentner's 2001 debut, made in the early days of Kompakt's Pop Ambient series, returns on Black Knoll Editions with its digital release set for November 6. The limited double LP comes in white or black BioVinyl, each an edition of 500, so a preorder during the window is the move. Preorder on Bandcamp.
5. Damon Locks and D-Composed, Dawning
Chicago creative music mainstay Damon Locks teams with the Black chamber music collective D-Composed on Dawning, out December 4 on International Anthem. The limited color vinyl is a run of 444 copies pressed at Pallas in Germany, alongside classic black vinyl, CD and digital. Get the backstory in our Dawning preview.
6. Rickshaw Billie's Burger Patrol, Ca$h Grab
The self described doom wop trio from Austin, Texas is back with its most introspective record yet, out now with a first pressing on transparent Cash Green vinyl cut from hi-res masters made for vinyl, plus CD and a cassette in a transparent wasabi shell. We previewed it with the Follow Through EP. Buy on Bandcamp.
The bottom line
Bandcamp Friday on November 6 is the easiest way to make your record budget count before the holiday rush. Set your wishlist this week, check the time where you live, and buy direct while the fee is off.
