On October 27 her label Domino announced the final Lives Outgrown shows: a short run through South America in May 2027, then a summer tour of the United Kingdom and Europe that ends in Croatia in late July.

"These will be the farewell shows for Lives Outgrown," Gibbons said in the announcement. "It's been great to play with such amazing musicians/friends and to have such a brilliant team. Thanks to everyone who's supported these shows so far."

Why Lives Outgrown mattered

Lives Outgrown came out on May 17, 2024, and Domino calls it her debut solo album. Its 10 songs were recorded over a period of 10 years and produced by James Ford with Gibbons, with additional production by Lee Harris of Talk Talk. The label describes it as her most personal work, a record about "lots of goodbyes" to family, to friends and even to her former self. It was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2024, and in 2025 Gibbons played her first ever solo tour of North America.

Gibbons is best known as the singer, songwriter and cofounder of Portishead with Geoff Barrow and Adrian Utley and Lives Outgrown is the first album released under her own name alone. It is a quieter, more inward record, and these shows have given it a second life on stage. The official video for "Reaching Out" is below.

Tracklist

Tell Me Who You Are Today, Floating On A Moment, Burden Of Life, Lost Changes, Rewind, Reaching Out, Oceans, For Sale, Beyond The Sun and Whispering Love.

Our call

This one is Surfacing. Calling these the farewell shows makes them the last chance to hear these songs live with this band. If you are anywhere near London on July 4, the Royal Festival Hall is the room to pick. Everyone else should start with "Floating On A Moment" and "Reaching Out," then play the album front to back.
