The Cage The Elephant new album is official. Dying In Reverse, the band's seventh studio album, arrives February 5, 2027 through Big Loud Rock, and pre-orders opened today on the official Cage The Elephant site. Alongside the announcement the band shared a new single, "Make It Easy," the third song from the record after "Beaches In Tennessee" and the title track.
The band's own store describes Dying In Reverse as a fresh start, and the production credits back that up. The album was produced by Justin Raisen and SADPONY, the production name of his brother Jeremiah Raisen. Bringing in an outside production team on this scale is a real change of direction after Neon Pill, and the three songs out so far sound looser and stranger for it.
Cage The Elephant Dying In Reverse release date
Dying In Reverse is out Friday, February 5, 2027. That gives it a clean three month runway from today's announcement, and the band has already put three songs into the world to set the tone. You can pre-save the album on streaming services now, and the vinyl and compact disc (CD) editions are up for pre-order on the band's own store.
The title track is the best place to start. Its official visualizer is posted on the band's channel:
Dying In Reverse tracklist
The record runs 12 songs, split seven and five across the two sides of the vinyl:
- Influence
- Make It Easy
- Beaches In Tennessee
- Wound Up
- Dying In Reverse
- Leave The Light On
- I Love You Anyway
- Cherry Cola
- Crossfaded
- Why U Keeping Me Around
- Give Me One Good Reason
- Wear The Daylight
Sequencing "Make It Easy" and "Beaches In Tennessee" right after the opener puts the two most familiar songs up front, with the title track closing out the first stretch. The back half, from "Cherry Cola" to "Wear The Daylight," is still completely unheard.

Cage The Elephant Make It Easy and the singles so far
"Make It Easy" is the newest of the three advance songs and the first to arrive with the full album details. It follows "Beaches In Tennessee," which has its own official music video, and "Dying In Reverse," whose visualizer is above. Taken together they point to a band leaning into fuzz and swagger, closer to the garage roots of their early records than the arena polish of recent years.
Dying In Reverse joins a catalog that runs from the self-titled debut through Thank You Happy Birthday, Melophobia, Tell Me I'm Pretty, Social Cues and Neon Pill.
