Into The Falling Sun released Ashes of Identity on April 13, 2026 through Labile Records. It is a 5-track album with a total running time of about 37 minutes. The credits read: All songs written and produced by Derrick Stembridge.
From the release notes
The notes on the album's Bandcamp page set the scene: "Ashes of Identity the new EP (extended play) by Into The Falling Sun. Ashes of Identity opens the field. Dense drones and buried textures rise like heat from something long reduced to ash. There is no entry point, only immersion. In Patterns of the Mind, repetition takes hold. Loops tighten and distort, turning inward until structure becomes pressure."
Later, the notes add: "What Remains strips everything back. Minimal, exposed, and still. The weight doesn't lift. It settles deeper, holding the space in suspension. With Immortal Chaos, the sound expands without release. Slow-moving mass pushing into open space, never resolving, never collapsing. Signal Without Source drifts at the edge."
