Three craft houses that usually stay in their own lanes just shared a rack. For the fifth chapter of Levi's x BEAMS, LOOPWHEELER joins the collab for the first time, and the brief is simple: take Levi's Super Wide silhouettes and cut them in Loopwheeler's soft Tsuriami fleece. The six-piece drop lands October 21 on Levi.com and at select Levi's stores, exclusive to Red Tab members, as BEAMS marks its 50th year.
Tsuriami, made slow
Loopwheeler builds its fleece in Wakayama, Japan on hanging-loop knitting machines that use a century-old process. Levi's own notes call out the contrast: hardworking machines that somehow spit out fleece soft enough to feel wrong for workwear, which is exactly why it works on a Super Wide trucker. Grey melange and navy are the two color stories.
What is in the six pieces
The center of the drop is the Super Wide Trucker and the Super Wide Pant, both finished with co-branded details and colorblocked arcuate stitching so you can spot the collab from across the room. Vintage-inspired bandanas in red and blue round out the six-piece set. No price tags here; current availability and sizing live on the Levi's Red Tab drops page and the campaign post.
Oakland, Easy Rider energy
The campaign was shot in Oakland with a nod to the open-road spirit of Easy Rider: two riders from different generations, vintage motorcycles, skate culture and Levi's cut large. It is American workwear meeting Japanese craft without turning either into a costume.
Levi's has been doing BEAMS chapters for a while. Bringing Loopwheeler in for the anniversary year is the detail that makes this one feel like more than another trucker restock. If you already live in Super Wide fits, this is the softest version of that silhouette you are likely to see from the brand.
Why Super Wide, why now
Levi's Super Wide block has been the oversized answer to skinny denim fatigue for a few seasons. Putting that pattern into Loopwheeler fleece flips the usual denim story: same big silhouette, totally different hand. Grey melange reads like classic sweat. Navy goes darker and dressier. Either way, the colorblocked arcuate stitching and co-branded hardware keep it from looking like a blank blanko hoodie with a trucker collar.
BEAMS turning 50 is the excuse that makes the three-way collab feel earned instead of random. Levi's already had a BEAMS chapter history. Loopwheeler already owned the softest Japanese fleece lane. Stacking them for an anniversary year is the kind of craft math Unknowndivide readers actually care about.
Where to get it
Mark October 21. Red Tab membership is the gate on Levi.com, and select Levi's stores will carry it too. Dig into Loopwheeler's own about page if you want the full Tsuriami story before you size up.
