He adds that it was likely his last recording in Omaha, Nebraska, for a while, and that the single stands apart from FAMINE as a shift rather than a sequel, with less story and more structure.
From the release notes
The notes on the single's Bandcamp page set the scene: "VEILFORM was created in a state of quiet disconnection not numbness, but something suspended. No memory behind it. No emotion to process. Just the motion of creating. I didn't feel much while writing it. I still don't know what it means. But I know it means something. There's a weight in it that didn't come from intention."
Later, the notes add: "This will likely be the last time I record in Omaha, NE [Nebraska] for a while. Maybe it's a reflection I wasn't ready to face. Maybe a quiet goodbye. Or maybe the absence itself is the meaning. For Neutrino Effect, VEILFORM stands alone arriving after FAMINE not as a continuation, but as a shift."
