Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit: best clear case
Rated 4.7 out of 5 from 1,256 ratings when we checked. The Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit pairs a clear back with a flexible bumper and a built-in magnet ring, so the case snaps onto MagSafe chargers and stays put. It is the pick if you want the white case to show through.
ESR MagSafe Case: best slim magnetic case
Rated 4.7 out of 5 from 27,772 ratings when we checked. The ESR MagSafe Case is a slim black case that ESR lists as compatible with MagSafe, so it charges and aligns on magnetic pads without coming off.
ESR Cyber Tough: best magnetic lid
Rated 4.6 out of 5 from 20,737 ratings when we checked. The ESR Cyber Tough adds a magnetic lid that keeps the case shut in a bag, a detail that matters if you have ever found an earbud loose at the bottom of a backpack.
MOBOSI MagSafe Case: best budget magnetic case

UAG Scout: best UAG for everyday carry
Rated 4.2 out of 5 from 96 ratings when we checked. The UAG Scout is Urban Armor Gear's textured TPU case for the AirPods Pro 3. UAG says it is built to military drop standards, with a secure closure, a carabiner clip and support for wireless charging. Its rating trails the others here and comes from far fewer reviews, so judge it on UAG's build rather than the score. It is also on UAG's own store.
UAG Plasma: best UAG for heavy use
Rated 4.2 out of 5 from 96 ratings when we checked. The UAG Plasma is the tougher of UAG's two. UAG uses a rugged PC and TPU build with a secure latch, a carabiner clip and military drop protection, and it still works with wireless charging. Like the Scout, it had a lower rating from a small number of reviews when we checked. See it on UAG's own store.
What we left out
We skipped listings sold as fitting both AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Pro 3 unless the maker named the AirPods Pro 3 specifically, since the case shape changed. We also skipped cases with only a handful of reviews and leather sleeves that leave the hinge exposed. UAG also sells a Monarch case for the AirPods Pro 3 on its own store, but we could not match it to a listing with enough ratings to compare.

How to choose
Clip or no clip. Spigen's Rugged Armor and both UAG cases come with a carabiner. The others are pocket cases.
Lid security. A case that adds a latch or magnetic lid, like the ESR Cyber Tough or the UAG Plasma, keeps the earbuds in if the case gets knocked around in a bag.
Charging. Every pick here lists wireless charging support. A magnet ring like the Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit's helps the case line up on a MagSafe puck.
Check the model. Make sure AirPods Pro 3 is the selected model before you add a case to your cart.
Fit and care tips
Pro 3 only. The AirPods Pro 3 charging case has a different shape and button position from the Pro 2. A Pro 2 case may feel loose or block the speaker holes. Confirm the listing names the AirPods Pro 3.
Wireless charging. Most cases here pass wireless charging through. Thick rugged cases can make alignment on a charging pad fussier, so check that the status light comes on.
Cleaning. Silicone cases attract lint in a pocket. Take the case off now and then and wipe both the case and the charging case with a dry cloth.
