Drifting In Silence released Clocks on April 14, 2023 through Labile Records. It is a 3-track single with a total running time of about 19 minutes.
Inside the release
The Clocks single comes with two extra pieces, according to the notes: the ambient track Paradox and Clocks in Reverse, a reworked version of the title track. The notes describe Clocks itself as steady rhythms set against rising and falling synth pads. All three tracks are by Derrick Stembridge's Drifting In Silence project.
Clocks went on to appear on the Drifting In Silence album Timeless, which Labile Records released on May 26, 2023. The notes for that album describe the track's gentle, persistent beats meeting the ebb and flow of synth pads, which matches how this single was introduced a few weeks earlier.
From the release notes
The notes on the single's Bandcamp page set the scene: "Derrick Stembridge expertly weaves a cohesive sonic tapestry, guiding listeners on a spellbinding auditory journey."
