Inside the release
The notes describe Fight or Flight as a single about the moment instinct turns into change. It opens on shifting rhythms that the notes tie to the body's response to change, then those rhythms give way to wide ambient layers. They also say the track comes from upcoming Drifting In Silence material.
From the release notes
The notes on the single's Bandcamp page set the scene: "Fight or Flight, the latest single from Drifting in Silence, explores the threshold between instinct and transformation the pivotal moment when reaction becomes release. Emerging from his forthcoming work, the track reflects the tension of choice: to stay grounded in resistance or rise above it. Built around evolving rhythmic patterns and deep, resonant textures, Fight or Flight begins with a sense of propulsion a pulse that speaks to the body's primal response to change."
Later, the notes add: "As it unfolds, Fight or Flight captures the delicate balance between urgency and surrender, translating the language of survival into one of clarity and transformation. It is a journey from gravity to grace where instinct no longer anchors you, but instead teaches you how to fly."
