Early Black Friday 2026 is not waiting for Thanksgiving. Best Buy fires the first shot tomorrow, Friday, October 30, with the return of its DoorBOOsters, and Target and Walmart have now locked their own early Black Friday dates for the first half of November. If there is a turntable, a synth, a pair of headphones or a big gift you have been circling, this is the calendar to save, because the best stock tends to move in the first hours of each drop.
Black Friday itself lands on Friday, November 27. Here is every confirmed date from the retailers' own announcements, in order, so you know exactly when to check back.
Best Buy: DoorBOOsters start October 30
Best Buy laid out its full holiday calendar in an official Best Buy announcement, and it starts earlier than anyone else.
- DoorBOOsters, from October 30: Halloween weekend kicks off the season with the first round of doorbuster deals.
- Early Black Friday Deals and Doorbusters, from November 6: new deals drop every Friday after that.
- Black Friday Doorbusters and Deals, from November 19: a 10 day run of Black Friday pricing.
- Cyber Sunday and Monday, then Cyber Week Deals from December 1 to 6.
- Last-Minute Savings, December 18 to 24.
Two details matter for gear buyers. Best Buy's Holiday Price Match Guarantee covers products sold by Best Buy if the price drops during the season, and its extended holiday return window means most purchases made from October 30 through December 31 can come back through January 15, 2027. My Best Buy Plus and Total members also earn double rewards from November 19 to December 6. Stores close on Thanksgiving Day, while the app and website stay open.
Target: Deal of the Day from November 1, early Black Friday November 5 to 7
Target confirmed its plan in an official Target press release. Starting November 1, there is a new Deal of the Day every day through December 24, with a first ever one day preview of upcoming offers so you can plan ahead. Target's Early Black Friday deals run November 5 to 7, followed by new limited time offers every weekend through the holidays.
Walmart: Early Black Friday November 12 to 15
Walmart split its season into three events in an official Walmart announcement.
- Early Black Friday Deals, November 12 to 15: online at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time and in stores at 6 a.m. local time.
- Black Friday Deals, November 23 to 29: online at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on November 23, in stores on November 27 at 6 a.m. local time.
- Cyber Monday, November 30 to December 2: online only.
Walmart+ members get early access to hot Deal drops at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on November 12 and November 23, with leftovers opening to everyone a day later. During both Black Friday events, select online only deals are reserved for members for the first 24 hours, while supplies last.
How to play it
Make the list now and price check it before the first drop. Big ticket gear rarely gets cheaper in the final scramble, and the early windows are where retailers test their sharpest offers.
