PUMA's Suede has been through a thousand collaborations. The one with le PÈRE is the quiet kind, the sort that looks better the longer you stare. PUMA and the New York label announced a full AW26 capsule that launches Saturday, October 10, built around vintage football, rugby, bowling and collegiate style.
The brown Suede
The center of the collection is a new brown version of the collaborative Suede. It takes its cue from retro bowling shoes, with a split-toe design, a full suede upper and a slimmed-down profile that sits closer to a dress shoe than a gym classic. It follows the first release in the capsule, a cream Suede with a green lining that launched in August at le PÈRE's Orchard Street flagship and listed at $130. PUMA has not published a price for the brown pair in the materials we saw, so check the product pages on launch day.
The rest of the wardrobe
Around the shoe is a proper collection of elevated sportswear, and this is where it earns the "gentle man" tag:
- A T7 tracksuit that borrows from vintage football warm-up kits, with subtle pinstripes, embroidered crests and European detailing
- A relaxed knitted rugby polo, one of le PÈRE's signature silhouettes
- A double-layer football jersey with heritage graphics and classic club logos
- A suede barrel bag inspired by old sports holdalls
The campaign leans into the same mood. Set across slow summer days, it follows two characters played by Luca Apple and Jeff Wahlberg, and the photos have a faded, sun-warmed look that suits the clothes. In the hero image, the tracksuit comes in deep blue with white piping, worn loose and a little rumpled, which is the right way to wear it.
Where and when
The PUMA x le PÈRE collection goes on sale October 10 through le PÈRE, PUMA.com, PUMA flagship stores and selected retailers worldwide. Le PÈRE's own page lists the brown Suede, barrel bag, rugby polo, double-layer jersey, T7 jacket and T7 pants as coming on 10/10.
To celebrate, the two brands are throwing a launch event at le PÈRE's store at 90 Orchard Street in New York. Nigerian artist Cruel Santino headlines with a live performance and an exclusive first listen of his upcoming album, K.O.T.B - The Bomberman Chronicles. The night also marks three years since the Orchard Street flagship opened, which fits the community feel of the whole project.
